چکیده

There is very limited aquaculture research on candidate probiotics and their effects fish physiology. In this study, acute applications of four different molecularly identified bacterial species – Brevibacillus brevis FD-1 (A), Pseudomonas fluorescens FDG-37 (B), Bacillus sphaericus FD-48 (C), B. amyloliquefaciens TV-17C (D), with potential in aquaculture, were tested rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) under static conditions. Physiological changes blood tissue [hematological indices: erythrocyte count (RBC), leukocyte (WBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), platelet (PLT), mean cell concentration (MCHC), (MCH), volume (MCV)], oxidative stress responses liver gill tissues [malondialdehyde (MDA) level, antioxidant enzyme activities: superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), reductase (GR), glutathione-S-transferase (GST), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD)] acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity brain (as neurotoxic biomarker) investigated. Additionally, behavioral differences recorded by measuring swimming performance to support findings all treatment groups. The LC5024 value strain was determined through analysis as 1.0 × 108 CFU ml-1. Inhibition activity, increase the MDA well significant hematological indices treated B compared control other groups gills. for using group strains more pertinent when considering water quality parameters.

I-33: Oxidative Stress Responses in EarlyPregnancy

Background: Survival of the conceptus is dependent on continuous progesterone signaling in the maternal decidua but how this is achieved under conditions of oxidative stress that characterize early pregnancy is unknown. Materials and Methods: Laboratory-based analysis of endometrial biopsies and primary endometrial cultures. Results: Using primary cultures, we show that modest levels of reactiv...

Aquaculture and stress management: a review of probiotic intervention.

To meet the ever-increasing demand for animal protein, aquaculture continuously requires new techniques to increase the production yield. However, with every step towards intensification of aquaculture practices, there is an increase in stress level on the animal as well as on the environment. Feeding practices in aqua farming usually plays an important role, and the addition of various additiv...

Effects of Ramadan observance on repeated cycle ergometer sprinting and associated inflammatory and oxidative stress responses in trained young men

Aim: was to assess the effects of Ramadan observance upon repeated sprints and associated inflammatory and oxidative stress responses. Methods: Ten young trained boxers were tested during a control period (C), at the end of the first week (R-1), and during the fourth week of Ramadan observance (R-4). On each occasion, they performed three vertical jumps, 10 x 6 s repeated sprints on a cycle erg...

Zanthoxylum Alatum Attenuates Chronic Restraint Stress Adverse Behavioral Effects Via the Mitigation of Oxidative Stress and Modulating the Expression of Genes Involved in Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Mice

Introduction: The functions of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) are important, particularly in the proteins’ synthesis, folding, modification, and transport. Based on traditional medicine and our previous studies on Zanthoxylum alatum in lipopolysaccharide-induced depressive behavior and scopolamine-induced impaired memory, the present study explored the role of hydroalcoholic extract of Z. alatu...
